This policy explains what GetGud collects, why, and who can see it. It covers interviewers, who have accounts, and candidates, who do not.
1. Interviewers
When you sign in with Google, GitHub or LinkedIn we receive your name, email address and profile picture from that provider. We use them to identify you, show you your workspace and attribute the interviews you create. We do not receive your password.
2. Candidates
During an interview we store:
- The name you enter on the start screen.
- Your selected answers, when each question started and when it was submitted.
- Activity counts: how many times the interview window lost focus, how many paste events happened and the size of the largest one, and how many idle periods occurred. We never record what was pasted, your keystrokes, your screen, your camera or your microphone.
- A random session identifier in a cookie, so a refresh resumes your interview.
Your in-progress selections are also sent live to the interviewer while you work. That live stream is not stored.
Only members of the workspace that created the interview can see your answers, scores, activity counts and their notes. Candidate interview data is kept for TODO: retention period for candidate interview data.
3. Cookies
We use strictly necessary cookies: an authentication cookie for interviewers and an interview session cookie for candidates. We do not use advertising cookies.
4. Service providers

5. Your rights
You can ask for access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data. Candidates can also contact the company that interviewed them, which controls the interview record. Account data is kept for TODO: retention period after account deletion.
6. Security
Data is encrypted in transit. Access to interview records is restricted to workspace members, and candidates can only reach their own interview session.
